Thill Big Fish Sliders are meticulously crafted from the highest quality balsa. They feature line-friendly brass grommets for super slick line feed and deployment. These big-predator floats suspend a lot of weight.
Rigging:
The Big Fish Slider is a slip float, requiring a Lindy Float Stop or stop knot on the line above it. Slide that on first, then the float. The recommended amount of weight can then be attached in the form of a clip-on weight or string of split shot on the main line below the float. Another option is a bell sinker of the exact weight required tied to a dropper line off a three-way swivel.
Fishing Tactic:
The design of the Big Fish Slider is perfect for still water, big waves and slow-to-moderate currents—the kind big catfish, stripers, and staging king salmon often hold in. But, the design is also right for slow trolling—a tactic often used by pike and musky guides to combine casting with live-bait presentations and big sucker minnows.
